The Big Bite Bacon Fest 2014 is returning to the Queen Mary at Long Beach, California for another celebration of everyone’s favorite bacon and pork foods.

About Big Bite Bacon Fest 2014

The Big Bite Bacon Fest is full of fun and all the best bacon, pork foods, and craft beers. Tasting events feature creative bacon and pork dishes from the best chefs and cooks from Long Beach and the surrounding areas. Light up your taste buds with everything from appetizers to desserts with cold and delicious craft beers.

The event is put on by Big Bite Events, a sub-division of Absolute Event Solutions Inc., which was created and developed to bring a new style of food events to the market. The company launched its first even last summer and made big waves in the local community. BBE’s mission is to change the way consumer-driven events are produced with the notion that a food event should be bigger and better, packed with high quality foods and enhanced beverage and entertainment elements designed in a theme.

Event Details & Other Important Info

The event will be held in two separate sessions. VIP guests will dine in the lunch section from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while general admission dies from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Entertainment for this session includes The Legends Football League Scrimmage and Challenge Contest and will feature DJ Dennis Owens and the Hawkline Monster. Dinner session will commence at 4:00 p.m. and will last until 7:30 for VIP guests. General admission will dine from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The entertainment remains the same.

Featured restaurants and chefs include Beachwood BBQ, Bigmista, Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour, Ghost Scream Hot Sauce, Meat Inc., Savage Chef, Slater’s 50/50, The Donut Bar, Red Leprechaun, 7-Eleven, Chef Rahm Fama, Chef Todd Henderson, Big Bubba’s Bad BBQ, Sweet Serenity Dessert, Handy’s Smoke House Delicacies, Bundts on Melrose, Whole Foods, and many more.

Admission

General admission includes entry into the event and unlimited samples of bacon and pork inspired food dishes (no beer sampling with this ticket) plus self-guided access to the majestic Queen Mary. General Admission plus beer sampling also includes ten 3 oz. beer samples. GA costs $35; beer sampling will be an additional $10.

VIP admission is very limited and includes entry into the event 1 hour prior to general opening to start sampling bacon. You’ll have unlimited samples of bacon and pork dishes and access to the exclusive VIP lounge with seating and private bar. You’ll also have access to a private tasting station, Swing Swag Bag, 5 oz. tasting cup, beer caddy and t-shirt, and self-guided access to the Queen Mary. VIP passes cost $55. Beer sampling VIP passes are an additional $10 cost. All children under four get in free.
